TDCJ Parole and Mandatory Supervision Eligibility Chart

Parole and Mandatory Supervision are complicated areas of law and the statutes and case law interpreting the statutes, are constantly evolving.  What may apply to one person will not necessarily apply to another.   For example, with regard to mandatory supervision, the statute in effect at the time of the offense governs, regardless of the date of conviction, assuming the offense is a mandatory-eligible offense.  However, with regard to parole, the prisoner is not entitled to the benefit of the statute in effect at the time of the offense; therefore, the statute in effect at the time of parole consideration applies.
